Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Brown onions in the fat, taking care not to scorch them.
  2. Add beef and brown, stirring to break up.
  3. Drain off drippings.
  4. Add garlic, cloves, cinnamon, tomatoes, and sugar.
  5. Add raisins and cumin; simmer, covered, 20 minutes.
  6. Add pecans and simmer 10 more minutes.
  7. Salt to taste.
  8. Serve hot in a chafing dish with corn chips.
