Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
  2. Grease and flour an 8-inch square pan.
  3. Melt butter and unsweetened chocolate in small heavy saucepan over low heat.
  4. Remove from heat; stir in pepper; cool.
  5. Beat eggs in medium bowl until light.
  6. Add sugar, beating well.
  7. Blend in chocolate mixture.
  8. Stir in flour and vanilla.
  9. Spread batter evenly in prepared pan.
  10. Bake for 30 minutes or until firm in center.
  11. Remove from oven; sprinkle chocolate chips over top.
  12. Let stand until chocolate is melted, then spread evenly over brownies.
  13. Cool completely in pan on wire rack.
