Ingredients:

  • 1/2 lb taro root ( starchy yam with a rough, brown skin, not the sweet, orange-colored type)
  • 1 1/4 lbs chicken
  • 2 tbsp ginger
  • 1/2 cup scallion
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 dash sugar
  • 1/2 tsp cooking wine
  • 1/2 tsp cornstarch
  • 1 tsp oil

Directions:

  1. Cut taro, chicken, and scallion into pieces (approx. 1 ).
  2. Coat chicken evenly with (A) and let sit for 25 minutes.
  3. Put everything on a plate and steam for 20 minutes at high heat.
