Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. In a bowl, whisk together dry ingredients.
  2. Reserve 1/4 cup chopped tomato.
  3. Meanwhile, brown ground beef in a medium frying pan.
  4. After meat is browned, drain well, then add green pepper, 3/4 cup tomatoes, Cheese Whiz , taco seasoning, chili powder, and 1/2 cup water.
  5. Heat through, stirring well, until mixture is bubbly and heated through.
  6. Remove from heat.
  7. To dry ingredients in mixing bowl, add milk and butter. Whisk together easily until blended and smoothe.
  8. Spray 8x8 or 7x11 baking dish well with non-stick spray.
  9. Pour tamale crust into pan, spreading evenly.
  10. Top with hamburger-cheese mixture.
  11. Bake for 20 minutes, then add shredded cheese to top, and bake 5 more minutes until melted and bubbly.
  12. Cool 5 minutes before cutting....Enjoy!
  13. NOTE: The crust will be browned around the outside-but your inside crust will be moist and very tender. This is normal!
