Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. To make filling: Saute onion, garlic and green pepper in oil until tender.
  3. Add ground beef and stir until browned.
  4. Add tomatoes, tomato sauce, corn, chili powder and salt.
  5. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes while preparing crust.
  6. CRUST.
  7. In stock pot mix together 4 cups milk, butter and salt.
  8. Bring to boil over medium high heat.
  9. In bowl mix together 2 cups milk and cornmeal.
  10. Stirring constantly, add cornmeal mix to stock pot.
  11. Continue stirring until thickened.
  12. Cover and cook over very low heat for 15 minutes.
  13. Remove from heat and stir in beaten eggs and 2 cups cheese.
  14. Reserve 2 cups crust mixture for top of pie.
  15. Spread remaining crust mixture into bottom of 10 x 12 inch pan.
  16. Stir sliced olives into meat filling and pour over crust mixture.
  17. Drop spoonfuls of reserved crust mix onto meat filling.
  18. Sprinkle with remaining 2 cups shredded cheese.
  19. Bake until browned and bubbly around edges. (50 - 60 minutes).
