Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups flour (sifted)
  • 3/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1 cup milk

Directions:

  1. Sift dry ingredients; cut shortening into dry ingredients.
  2. Combine milk and sweet potatoes.
  3. Add to first mixture and stir quickly.
  4. Knead, using as little flour as possible.
  5. Roll to 1/2-inch thickness.
  6. Cut with floured glass or cutter.
  7. Arrange on a greased cookie sheet.
  8. Bake at 425° for 12 to 15 minutes.
