Sweet Shredded Pork(Crock Pot)

Ingredients:

  • 1 (5 -6 lb) pork roast
  • 1 (12 oz) can coke
  • 1 (12 oz) can taco sauce (red )
  • 1 tbsp cumin
  • 2 (10 oz) cans green chili sauce
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tbsp onion flakes

Directions:

  1. Put roast in crock pot half full of water and cook 12 hours on low.
  2. Pour off liquid and strain fat.( OPTIONAL:reserve liquid for later use: gravy ect.)
  3. Mix coke, red taco sauce, cumin, and brown sugar in a bowl.
  4. Add to crock pot with roast and cook 4 more hours on low.
  5. Shred pork and stir into coke/taco sauce mixture in crock pot.
  6. Add 1 (10 oz) can green chile sauce, onion flakes, garlic and salt.
  7. Cook additional 2 hours on low.
  8. After the 2 hours taste test and adjust to your liking.(more spices, sauces, ect.).
  9. Serve with the other can of green chile sauce.(Burritos, Enchilada style, Tacos, Whatever - ).
