Sweet-hot Spiced Pecans

Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 3/4 tsp cayenne
  • 1/2 tsp sale
  • 1 large egg white
  • 2 cups pecan halves

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven 300.
  2. In bowl mix sugar, cayenne, salt, coriander, cinnamon and allspice.
  3. Whisk in egg white and vegetable oil.
  4. Stir in pecans
  5. Spread nuts in single layer in oiled nonsick 10 by 15 iinch pan.
  6. Bake stirring occasionally, until nuts are crisp and lightly browned about 20 - 25 minutes.
  7. Let cool about five minutes
  8. Use spatula to loosen nuts from pan; cool completely.
  9. Serve or store at room temperature in airtight container up to 2 weeks.
