Ingredients:

  • 1 tsp sugar
  • salt to taste
  • 1 tsp olive oil
  • 2 tsp brandy

Directions:

  1. Melt butter and oil in a large saute pan over med-low heat;stir in onion,sugar and salt. Cover and sweat 20 mins,stirring occasionally.
  2. Uncover pan and continue to cook,stirring frequently,until onion is golden.,15 mins
  3. Deglaze with brandy and cook till the liquid has evaporated. Store in frig. up to 1 week or freezer up to 1 mo.
