Ingredients:

  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup chopped dates
  • 1/2 cup chopped apple
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/2 cup shortening
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1/2-3/4 cup chopped nuts

Directions:

  1. Boil raisins, dates, and apples in 1/2 cup water for 3 minutes. Mix in shortening; cool. Add beaten eggs, honey, vanilla, and soda to mixture, then stir in flour and nuts. Refrigerate until chilled.
  2. Drop by teaspoons on well greased cookie sheet; bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes.
  3. Refrigerate in airtight containers.
