Streusel Topped Apple Butter Cake

Ingredients:

  • preheat oven to 350 degrees f
  • generously grease bottom of 9-inch square baking pan
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine - melt in saucepan
  • 1 1/2 cups pillsbury's best all purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup apple butter****(1 cup applesauce + 1 tsp cinnamon and 1 tsp allspice can be substituted)
  • 1 egg
  • combine all ingredients with butter in saucepan.
  • mix well
  • pour batter into greased pan
  • combine all the remaining ingredients in a mixing bowl & sprinkle over cake batter
  • 1/4 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup firmly packed brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup chopped nuts

Directions:

  1. Bake at 350 degrees for 40 - 45 minutes until top springs back when touched lightly in center.
