Strawberry Bacon Romaine Salad

Ingredients:

  • 1 slice red onion
  • 1 lb of crisply fried bacon
  • 1 cup slivered almonds
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 tbsp butter
  • 3/4 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 2 tbsp poppy seeds

Directions:

  1. Toast almonds with sugar and butter mixed together in 350 degree oven until lightly browned (watch closely) Tear lettuce leaves and toss with red onions, strawberries and chopped fried bacon.
  2. When almonds are cool sprinkle on top of salad.
  3. Whisk dressing together and pour over salad and toss all together.
  4. Delightful salad.
  5. Believe me you will receive many compliments on this one!
