Sprouted Green Gram Vegetable I Love

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Soak the green gram for 6-8 hours (overnight).
  2. The next day, when yu are to prepare it, heat oil in a skillet.
  3. Add methi seeds and red chillies.
  4. Fry for 1-2 minutes.
  5. Add the coconut and turmeric powder.
  6. Mix well.
  7. Grind in a mixer/grinder, adding water as required to get a smooth paste.
  8. Cook the sprouted green gram with 3/4 cup of water and 3/4 tsp.
  9. Salt.
  10. Keep aside.
  11. In a non-stick pan, add 2 tbsps.
  12. Oil and heat on medium flame.
  13. When hot, add the onion and fry till golden brown.
  14. Add the tomato and fry for 2 minutes.
  15. Add 3/4 tsp.
  16. Salt or to taste.
  17. Add the ground coconut masala.
  18. Fry for 2 minutes.
  19. Add the cooked sprouted green gram.
  20. Mix well.
  21. Cook for 5 minutes.
  22. Garnish with fresh corriander leaves (chopped).
  23. Serve hot with rotis or puri or rice.
