  1. Heat medium skillet over medium heat. Add bacon and cook until crisp. Transfer to paper towel lined plate to cool. Put sprouts into skillet, cut side down. Cook until they begin to brown, about 3 minutes. Add garlic, season with s&p and saute for another 1-2 minutes. Increase heat to medium-high, then add sugar and broth, scraping browned bits from bottom of pan and mix well. Cover and cook for another 2 minutes. Meanwhile, cut bacon into small pieces. Toss bacon with sprouts before serving.
