Spiced Cranberry Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 1 package (12 oz) fresh or frozen cranberries
  • 1-3/4 cups sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • 1/8 tsp ground ginger
  • 1/8 tsp ground cloves

Directions:

  1. In a large saucepan, combine all ingredients. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat; simmer, uncovered, until the berries pop and mixture is thickened, about 30 minutes. Cool. Transfer to a serving bowl; cover and refrigerate until chilled. Yield: 2 cups.
