Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Bake spare ribs on a broiler pan at 500 degrees for 25 minutes, turning halfway through.
  2. Remove visible fat and put into a saucepan with a tight cover. Mix remaining ingredient in a bowl and pour over spare ribs.
  3. Start at medium heat, then reduce to low, and simmer with cover on for about two hours, checking every half hour for volume of sauce remaining to prevent burning.
  4. Note: Will use only 2 Tbsp brown sugar and buy reduced sodium soy sauce next time because these were a bit salty.
