Ingredients:

  • 1 cup molasses
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp ginger
  • 1 tsp cinnamon
  • 1 dash salt
  • 1 1/2 cups raisins
  • 1 cup sour milk
  • 4 cups flour

Directions:

  1. Mix molasses, sugar, and shortening. Add spices salt and baking soda dissolved in 1 tbsp cold water.
  2. Add eggs, raisins and milk. Mix dry ingredients and stir in .
  3. Drop batter by teaspoons on greased baking sheet.
  4. Bake 10-15 minutes.
