So Easy French Onion Soup

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Prepare onion soup mix according to directions. (There will be small dehydrated onions in the soup-just ignore them).
  2. While soup is simmering, heat butter and oil in sauté pan.
  3. Sauté onion until just tender.
  4. Remove onion and add to soup base.
  5. Add vinegar and Worcestershire sauce.
  6. Simmer approx 20 minutes allowing time for soup base to reduce and infuse flavours.
  7. Pour into small oven proof bowls or ramekins.
  8. Place toasted french bread on top and sprinkle with cheese.
  9. Broil in oven until cheese is lightly browned and bubbly.
