Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 3/4 cups all purpose flour
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa can be substituted for 1/2 cup flour

Directions:

  1. In large bowl, combine 1 1/2 cups sugar and margarine until light and fluffy. Blend in vanilla and eggs. Blend flour, cream of tartar baking soda and salt into creamed mixture. Combine 2 Tbsp sugar and cinnamon. Shape dough into 1inch balls; roll balls in sugar cinnamon mixture. Place 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets. Bake at 400 degrees for 8-10 minutes. (Chocolate cookies should be baked at 400 degrees for 6-9 minutes.)
