Sesame Fried Onigiri

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Steam rice as usual either on a stove top or in a steamer, I used a steamer.
  2. Fluff rice, and add vinegar, salt, and the seasonings of your choice. You can also add curry powder or Miso paste.
  3. I used a mold for my onigiri, shown here: /onigiri_with_filling.htm
  4. However it can also be molded by hand, but it must be down while hot or it wont stick together as well. Any shape will do, I used triangles.
  5. Heat sesame oil in a pan and lightly fry Onigiri until golden on each side.
