Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups chicken stock
  • 1 slice of bacon, cut into small pieces
  • salt , pepper, & garlic powder ( i keep a mixture of this in a spice jar for use in seasoning many different types of foods)

Directions:

  1. Trim & cut green beans into 3 inch pieces.
  2. Place in colander and rinse.
  3. While you do that, fry the bacon pieces in 2 quart pot.
  4. Place green beans in the pot with the bacon and melted fat.
  5. Cook beans for about 5 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  6. Add chicken stock and spices(season to suit your taste)
  7. Cover and simmer for 30 minutes.
