Ingredients:

  • 2 1/2 cups milk
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup raisins
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla

Directions:

  1. In saucepan, combine 2 cups milk, salt, cinnamon, nutmeg, sugar, and raisins.
  2. Bring to a rolling boil, stirring constantly.
  3. Reduce heat: boil slowly for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
  4. Mix eggs with the remaining 1/2 cup of milk, then slowly add to hot mixture, stirring vigorously with a fork.
  5. Cook over medium heat until thickened.
  6. Add vanilla.
  7. Let cool 10 minutes before serving.
