Ingredients:

  • 1 (1/4 oz) package dry active yeast
  • 1/4 cup lukewarm water
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3 3/4 cups all-purpose flour , sifted

Directions:

  1. Soften yeast in lukewarm water.
  2. Scald milk; add butter, sugar and salt.
  3. Cool to lukewarm and add softened yeast and beaten eggs.
  4. Add flour and mix well.
  5. Cover and let rise until light.
  6. While rising, grease muffin pans.
  7. Beat the batter well and fill muffin cups 2/3 full; let rise again.
  8. While rising, preheat oven to 375°F.
  9. Bake in preheated oven for about 20 minutes.
  10. Serve hot.
