Really Rich Spaghetti Bolognese - 'goodfellas' Style

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Fry onions briskly in a little oil.
  2. Add mince and fry at high heat until brown.
  3. (remove fat from pan).
  4. Add the tomato puree and drop the heat to medium.
  5. Stir in the sun dried tomato paste.
  6. Add salt.
  7. Add pepper.
  8. Add garlic.
  9. Add red wine.
  10. Add mustard.
  11. Simmer for 15 minutes.
  12. Chop bacon into little pieces the size of croutons and fry in a little oil in a small frying pan until cooked.
  13. Add bacon to bolognese.
  14. Add chopped raw celery (no need to boil it).
  15. Add brown sugar.
  16. Simmer on low heat for 1 hour.
  17. Serve with your favorite pasta.
