Prune Spice Cake With Buttermilk Icing

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. CAKE.
  2. Blend sugar, oil and eggs.
  3. Sift together all dry ingredients and add alternately with buttermilk.
  4. Add vanilla, prunes and pecans.
  5. Pour into buttered bundt pan.
  6. Bake 350°F for 45 minute.
  7. Leave cake in pan and ice while warm.
  8. ICING.
  9. Combine last 6 ingredients in saucepan and bring to a boil.
  10. Cook until soft ball stage (small amount dropped into cool water forms a soft ball).
  11. Pour over cake while warm.
  12. Serve with whipped cream and cherries or plain.
