Ingredients:

  • 2 cup. white sugar
  • 1 can (1 lb.) pumpkin
  • 2.3 cup. water
  • 1 cup. salad oil
  • 3 1/2 cup. flour
  • 2 tsps. soda
  • 2 tsps. salt
  • 1 tsp. nutmeg
  • 1 tsp. allspice
  • 1 1/2 tsps. cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp. cloves

Directions:

  1. Cream sugar and oil together.
  2. Add eggs and pumpkin.
  3. Mix well.
  4. Sift together dry ingredients and add alternately with the water.
  5. If desired, golden raisins and pecans may also be added.
  6. Pour into four greased loaf pans.
  7. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.
  8. Let cool.
  9. Drizzle with orange or lemon glaze.
  10. Makes 4 loaves.
