Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. In a medium sauce pan melt butter and add flour,salt and pepper.
  2. Pour in milk and stir until thick. Set aside.
  3. Grease a casserole dish.
  4. Layer the potatoes then onions then cheese.
  5. Repeat the layers.
  6. Pour a little of the white sauce over these layers make sure you keep enough to pour over the top.
  7. Repeat the next layer as you did the last two layers.
  8. When you are ready to bake this bake at 350°F for 1 hour then remove the top and bake until done.
  9. If you prefer the potatoes not to get brown keep covered as I do.
  10. This might take another 15 minutes depending in your oven.
