Ingredients:

  • 2 cups finely chopped walnuts
  • 1/2 cup sultanas or raisins
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 cups water
  • 1 cup heavy cream , whipped

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F.
  2. Peel and core the apples. Mix the walnuts and sultanas in a small bowl. Arrange the apples on a baking dish, and fill the cavities with the walnut mixture. Dissolve the sugar in the water in a small bowl and pour it over the apples. Bake until the apples are soft but not soggy, about 15 to 20 minutes. Remove the apples from the oven and arrange them on serving plates. Serve at room temperature or cold garnished with whipped cream.
