Ingredients:

  • 1 egg
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3 1/2 cups flour
  • 1 tsp vanilla
  • 1 (13 -15 oz) box raisins
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1 tsp flour

Directions:

  1. Mix together the egg and the milk and blend this together with the rest of the cookie ingredients. Chill the dough overnight.
  2. The next day: Combine the raisins, sugar, water and flour in a saucepan and cook until thick. Remove from heat and allow to cool.
  3. When ready to use the dough, roll out until about 1/8th inch thick.
  4. Cut with 2 1/2 inch round cutter. Place a teaspoon of the raisin mixture in the center of the circle and cover with another circle. Press the edges together with a fork.
  5. Bake at 425 degrees for 6-10 minutes.
