Pecan Pie

Ingredients:

  • 3 eggs
  • 2 tbsp pastry flour
  • 1/2 cup finely chopped dates
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 cup molasses
  • 2 tbsp margarine
  • 1 1/2 cups pecans

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F.
  2. In a mixing bowl, beat eggs until foamy.
  3. Add the dates, flour and salt; mix well.
  4. Stir in the molasses, melted margarine and vanilla extract.
  5. Stir in the pecans.
  6. Pour into a pie shell (works nicely with Bran Cereal Pie Crust #42480) and bake for 45 minutes.
  7. Cool the pie before cutting and serving.
  8. Try it with vanilla ice-cream!
