Pear-berry Crisp With Lavender Topping

Ingredients:

  • 3 tbsp. sugar
  • 1-1/2 tsp. cornstarch
  • cooking spray
  • topping
  • 1/2 cup regular oats
  • 1 tsp. lavender buds
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1/4 cup chilled butter cut into small pieces
  • 3 tbsp. honey

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 375*F.
  2. Combine the first 6 ingredients, tossing well.
  3. Spoon mixture into an 8 square baking dish coated with cooking spray.
  4. Place oats in a food processor and pulse until coarsely ground.
  5. Add lavender buds and pulse 8 times or until combined.
  6. Place oat mixture in a large bowl.
  7. Add flour, 1/2 cup sugar and salt to oat mixture, stir to combine.
  8. Cut in butter with pastry blender until mixture resembles coarse meal.
  9. Add 3 Tbsp. honey to oat mixture, stir just until moistened.
  10. Sprinkle topping over filling
  11. Bake until golden and bubbly.
