Ingredients:

  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
  • 3 tbsp milk
  • 2 cups rolled oats

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees farenheit. Grease and flour 3 large baking sheets. In a medium saucepan over medium heat, stir corn syrup and butter until butter melts. Remove from heat. Stir in brown sugar and milk; set aside for 10 minutes.
  2. In a large bowl, combine ots, flour, baking powder and ginger. Stir in syrup mixture. Drop dough by rounded teaspoons, 2 inches apart, on prepared baking sheets.
  3. Bake 9 to 13 minutes, or until deep golden brown. Cool on racks. Store in airtight container at room temperature for up to 1 week or freeze for longer storage.
