Papas Trashy Fish Bread

Ingredients:

  • loaf of crusty artisian bread (we use sesame semolina)
  • 1/2 stick butter
  • maybe a bit of fresh ground pepper
  • wedge of lemon

Directions:

  1. Cut slits in bread.
  2. Insert pats of butter.
  3. The more butter, the merrier.
  4. Empty a can or two of drained salmon on top of bread.
  5. Heat in oven 10-15 minutes, or until the smell is really quite enough.
  6. Take it out!
  7. Serve with fresh ground pepper and a squeeze of lemon.
  8. And I always need extra butter.
