Ingredients:

  • 2 cup sugar
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup magarine or butter
  • 2 tbsp karo
  • 3 cup pecans or walnuts
  • 2 tsp vanilla

Directions:

  1. Mix all (but vanilla) together. Cook on medium heat to 234 degrees
  2. On candy thermometer. Add vanilla. Beat with a wooden spoon
  3. Until slightly thickened and candy just coats nuts but does not lose
  4. Its gloss.
  5. Drop by large spoonfuls on buttered foil.
  6. Makes 1 1/2 dozen candies. If mixture gets too thick you can add
  7. Water.
