Oven Chicken That Makes Its Own Gravy

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Coat chicken with flour.
  2. Put chicken in a single layer, skins down, in melted butter in a baking dish.
  3. Bake uncovered in 425°F (hot) oven for 30 minutes.
  4. Turn chicken,then bake until brown, about 20 minutes longer or till tender.
  5. Remove from oven and reduce temperature to 325°.
  6. Discard excess fat.
  7. Combine evaporated milk, soup, cheese, salt and pepper.
  8. Add onions and mushrooms to chicken.
  9. Pour evap.
  10. Milk mixture over chicken.
  11. Sprinkle with paprika.
  12. Cover dish with foil.
  13. Return to oven and bake for 15 to 20 minutes longer.
