My Sweet Grandmother's Sweet Potato Pie

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Preheat over to 325 degrees.
  2. Peel and boil the potatoes in water until tender.
  3. Drain and mash the potatoes well with the stick of butter and 1/2 cup sugar.
  4. Taste; add the rest of the sugar if not sweet enough.
  5. Mix in the eggs and cinnamon (or allspice).
  6. Add the evaporated milk into the mixture until it appears loose. It may or may not require all of the canned milk.
  7. Pour into the unbaked pie shell.
  8. Bake until middle is set.
