My Famous Cheesy, Heavy-Duty Lasagna

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. In a skillet, brown beef and sausage over medium heat until no longer pink.
  2. Drain.
  3. Add the next seven ingredients.
  4. Simmer, uncovered for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.
  5. In a bowl, combine eggs, parsley, cottage cheese, ricotta, parmesan.
  6. Spread 1 cup of meat sauce in an ungreased 9x13inch baking dish.
  7. Layer 3 noodles.
  8. Layer 6 slices of provolone over noodles.
  9. Layer 2 cups cheese mixture & 1-1/4 cup mozzarella cheese over provolone.
  10. Layer 3 noodles.
  11. Layer 2 cups meat sauce.
  12. Layer remaining cheese mixture & 1 1/4 cup mozzarella.
  13. Top with remaining noodles, then meat sauce, then mozzarella. Dish will be full.
  14. Cover with foil (leave room in between foil and cheese so it doesn't stick).
  15. Bake at 375 degrees for 50 minutes.
  16. Uncover and bake 20 minutes longer.
  17. Let stand 15 minutes.
