Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Grease muffin cups.
  2. Dissolve baking soda in buttermilk.
  3. Add oats,stir.
  4. Allow oats to soak into the buttermilk for about 30 minutes.
  5. Put apple into pan with the Brandy.
  6. Cook till tender,cool slightly.
  7. Add brown sugar,egg,flour,salt,baking powder,cinnamon and nutmeg to oat mixture.
  8. Add butter,raisins,walnuts and apple mixture.
  9. Mix well by hand.
  10. Spoon batter into muffin pans.
  11. Top with 1 teaspoon Cherry Preserves
  12. Bake in a 400 degree oven for 25 to 30 minutes(or) until toothpick inserted in to middle comes out clean.
  13. ~Serve with Creamy Homemade Butter and Honey~
