Mom's Banana Bread

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/3 cup water
  • 1 2/3 cups flour
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350.
  2. Mix sugar, margarine and eggs until blended.
  3. Add water and bananas. Beat 30 seconds.
  4. Stir in the rest of the ingredients until just moistened.
  5. Pour into greased 9 inch loaf pan.
  6. Bake for 55-60 minutes or until a toothpick comes out clean.
  7. Remove from oven and let stand for 5 minutes.
  8. Use a knife to loosen the loaf from the pan and remove loaf. Finish cooling on a cooling rack.
