Ingredients:

  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • 1 1/2 cups butter
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 7 -8 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 cups raisins
  • 1 tsp sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla

Directions:

  1. Bring milk to simmer with butter and let cool.
  2. Mix Ddry ingredients together with raisins and add to milk mixture.
  3. Dissolve yeast in small amount of warm water with 1 tsp sugar.
  4. Then add eggs and vanilla.
  5. Knead well and let rise to double in bulk.
  6. Break down and put in well-greased pan.
  7. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes.
