Mackinac Island Fudge, My Version

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup milk
  • 1 cup sugar (white )
  • 1 cup brown sugar (packed)
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 cup nuts (optional)

Directions:

  1. Mix butter, milk, white and brown sugars in pan.
  2. Cook on medium heat until boiling.
  3. Boil EXACTLY 7 minutes, stirring all the time.
  4. Remove from heat and add vanilla and powdered sugar.
  5. Mix till there are no lumps and thick.
  6. Add nuts if you like.
  7. Pour into pan sprayed with Pam.
  8. Put in fridge for half hour, then cut.
