Ingredients:

  • 1/4 lb ham
  • 3-1/2 cups water
  • 1 tbsp onion flakes
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/4 cup cooking oil

Directions:

  1. In two quart pot add oil and brown ham then add water and beans and season to taste. Cover and simmer stirring occasionally until peas are tender about one hour.
  2. Serve hot over rice.
