Low Cal Tomato Bisque

Ingredients:

  • 1 cup water
  • 1 cup celery
  • 1 cup onion
  • 4 (14 1/2 oz) cans chopped tomatoes (avoid cans with hfcs)
  • 3 (1 g) packets stevia powder
  • 1/4 tsp garlic salt
  • 1/8 tsp chili powder
  • 3/4 tsp paprika
  • 1/8 tsp cinnamon
  • 2 tbsp milk

Directions:

  1. 1. spray a little Pam into a pan and add the water, celery, and onions.
  2. 2. cook the onions and celery on medium heat until they are soft.
  3. 3. drain the water from the pan
  4. 4. add the chopped tomatoes (drain the juice in the cans), chicken broth, Stevia, garlic salt, chili powder, and basil or sage. Stir.
  5. 5. cook covered on medium heat for 30 minutes stirring occasionally.
  6. 6. remove from heat and let the mixture cool for 5 minutes.
  7. 7. blend the mixture in a blender.
  8. 8. add the cinnamon, milk, and paprika. Add salt to taste.
