Linguine with White Clam Sauce

Ingredients:

  • 2/3 cup margarine
  • 1/4 tsp basil
  • 1/3 cup olive oil
  • 1/4 tsp oregano
  • 3 cloves garlic
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 3 (8 oz) cans minced clams, drained
  • 1 lb linguine

Directions:

  1. Melt margarine in saucepot; add oil; heat.
  2. Saute garlic and clams in hot oil mixture over medium heat for 2 to 3 minutes.
  3. Stir in parsley, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper.
  4. Simmer 5-10 minutes.
  5. Cook linguine according to package directions; drain well.
  6. Return to pot; add sauce; toss lightly.
  7. Serve with grated Parmesan cheese.
