Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Cook spinach according to package directions; drain well.
  2. Fry the bacon until crisp, remove and set aside.
  3. Remove most, but not all, of the bacon drippings from the pan.
  4. Saute the onion in the remaining pan drippings until very tender, about 10 minutes.
  5. Add bacon bits back into the onion mixture and cook a couple more minutes.
  6. Remove onion/bacon mixture from heat and stir in flour, seasoned salt and pepper, and garlic. (It will be a thick paste/roux).
  7. Add the warmed milk all at once.
  8. Return to medium heat and stir until smooth and thickened.
  9. Add spinach and mix thoroughly.
  10. Keep warm until ready to serve.
