Ingredients:

  • 1 cup of water .
  • 1/4 cup albers grits .
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 tbsp butter .
  • 1/4 tsp oregano .
  • 1/4 tsp basel .
  • 1 tbsp grated parmesan or romano cheese. i do not buy or romano cheese. i buy blocks and grate it as needed.
  • a dollop of sour cream.

Directions:

  1. 1. Make the grits in the usual way, using everything but the cheese & sour cream.
  2. 2. When the grits are ready, add the grated cheese and stir gently until combined.
  3. 3. Garnish with a dollop of sour cream.
  4. 4. Serve.
