Homestyle Barbecued Spareribs.

Ingredients:

  • 3 lbs spareribs
  • 1/4 cup butter
  • 1 tbsp vinegar
  • 1 tbsp white sugar
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 dash cayenne , if desired
  • 2 tbsp worcestershire sauce , if desired

Directions:

  1. Wipe ribs with a damp cloth and place in a 3 inch deep roaster. Bake at 350' for 45 minutes.
  2. Meanwhile saute onions in butter till just brown. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Simmer for 5 minutes. Pour over the ribs and bake for a furthe 1 hour, basting from time to time with the sauce. Turn ribs over once during the cooking.
