Granny Owsley’s Spiced Pecans

Ingredients:

  • 4 cups pecans
  • 1 tsp water
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 tsp cinnamon

Directions:

  1. Beat egg whites and water till frothy.
  2. Put pecan halves in bowl and pour egg mixture over them. Coat well.
  3. Pour sugar mixture over and coat well.
  4. Pour melted butter in bottom of cookie sheet.
  5. Place pecans on cookie sheet in a single layer.
  6. Bake 240 degrees for 1 1/2 hours, stirring every 15 minutes.
  7. Store in airtight container.
