Grandpa's Pumpkin Pie

Ingredients:

  • 1 (15 oz) can pumpkin
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 tsp clove
  • 1/4 tsp nutmeg
  • 1/4 tsp ginger

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 450*.
  2. In a large mixing bowl combine eggs, sugar, salt, and spices.
  3. Beat well then add the pumpkin and milk - beat well again.
  4. Pour into pie shell and bake at 450* for 10 mins then reduce heat to 350* and bake for 40-45 minutes.
  5. Pie is done when knife inserted in center comes out clean.
  6. Serve with homemade whipped cream.
  7. We use my canola oil pie crust Canola Oil Pie Crust.
