Grandma's Potted Chicken and Potatoes

Ingredients:

Directions:

  1. Remove skin from chicken and season with garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  2. Heat 1 Tbsp oil in sauce pot/Dutch oven over medium high heat. Add half the chicken and brown lightly on both sides. Remove and repeat with remaining chicken.
  3. Add onions and cook 6-8 min, stirring frequently, til tender. Return chicken to pot and spread each piece with ketchup. Reduce heat to medium. Cover and cook 10 min. Add potatoes and shake down into sauce. Cover and cook about 30 min, til chicken is fully cooked and potatoes are tender. Remove cover and simmer 5 min to thicken sauce, stirring once or twice.
